Doubletree Hotel Bloomington IL Wedding – I was looking forward to Kristy and Nathaniels Bloomington IL wedding ever since I photographed their engagement session a few weeks ago. It turns out theirs was one of the more amazing weddings I have had the good fortune of photographing.

Yes, the setting for the ceremony at McGraw park in Bloomington IL was lovely and the reception at the nearby Doubletree Hilton was beautiful. As always, it was a pleasure to document family and friends celebrating a young couple beginning a new life together. What made this day extra special was Kristy and Nate’s reaction when things didn’t quite go as planned.Whether it was the heavy downpour that delayed (and nearly canceled) the outdoor ceremony or the rain shower that interrupted our photographing the family formals (forcing a change of venue) all I ever saw from them, their parents and the bridal party was laughter and smiles.
